We are excited that for the first time in 3 years, we will be able to participate in Holy Week activities in-person! Based on recent decisions and discussions with the Church Council and the Worship Committee, we will be taking the following measures to ensure a safe and meaningful worship experience.
Masks are currently required for in-person worship at St. Luke. This protocol is reviewed monthly by the Church Council and will be revisited on April 19.
- We will incorporate ONE Congregational Hymn for Palm Sunday and for Easter Sunday. The hymn for Palm Sunday will be sung outdoors PRIOR to the assembly processing into the sanctuary.
- Maundy Thursday, April 14 at 7p. The service will be held online via ZOOM. This service will revolve around a Footwashing Presentation by Chaplain Ma (Marjorie Anne), and a group discussion of the book, Unbinding the Heart. Since we are still requiring masks, these elements will be easier to navigate online.
- Good Friday, April 15, at 7p in Person. The service will be held in-person at St. Luke and there will be no congregational singing during this service. There will be no online option for this service.
- Easter Sunday April 17, Two Services. 10:30a in person and 12pm on FaceBook Live: https://www.facebook.com/stlukeatlanta
We hope that this information will help you make the best decision for you and your family as we move into this special time of the church year. Hope to see you!
